Hi! My name is Zaira (sah•ee•rah) and I am a first-generation Mexican American multidisciplinary designer based in California. I obtained my BA in Design & Chicano Studies (social policy emphasis) from UC Davis. I specialize in visual design including branding, campaign and social media management. During my free time I enjoy practicing photography, exploring new creative mediums, and learning/preserving my mother's native language Mixtec specifically Tu'un Sávi 🌿
I believe great design is both intentional and inclusive. I take an intersectional and human centered approach in my work prioritizing community-based research. I enjoy working with organizations that are community centered, narrative focused and mission oriented.
